Our Mission + Vision

Altar + Home is an apostolic work of the monks and employees of Conception Abbey, a Benedictine monastery in northwest Missouri.

Our mission is to share the monks’ Catholic faith and Benedictine spirituality
through the creation and distribution of printed products and religious items.

We are overjoyed to share this mission-focused work and our products with you in the coming months.

Our greeting cards and gift items will continue as the foundation on which we will build to provide the resources you need to live out your faith journey with intentionality and beauty.

Vision

The monastic community gathers to pray in front of the altar for the Church, for the people of God, and for their intentions. Altar + Home by Conception Abbey brings the work of the monks from the altar into the domestic church of those who seek Christ.

Through this outward-facing ministry, we provide resources and tools to support customers on their faith journeys and cultivate one holy, apostolic, Catholic Church.
